Our client, an environmental compliance and engineering company that supports businesses with water hygiene, site management and refurb services across commercial sites in the South-East, is looking for an experienced Legionella Risk Assessor to join an existing team. This position offers a great opportunity for someone who wants to progress within a business, supporting the growth of the team and eventually move into a supervisory position.
Key duties for the Legionella Risk Assessor will include:
- Carrying out detailed risk assessments on commercial sites including offices, residential plant rooms, health care, further education and large commercial buildings.
- Areas of work to include hot and cold-water systems, TMVs, large water tanks, calorifiers and cooling towers.
- Carrying out basic water hygiene duties such as water sampling, temperature monitoring, TMV servicing and on occasion tank cleans.
- Producing detailed reports and schematic drawings (external support provided).
- Acting as a primary point of contact to site management, recommending future works to ensure health and safety guidelines are met.
To apply for the Legionella Risk Assessor, applicants will ideally have the following:
- At least one Water Management Society qualification or similar.
- 4+ years’ experience working as a Legionella Risk Assessor.
- Previous experience in water hygiene and/or basic plumbing preferred.
- Full driving license.
- Enhanced DBS checked.
The Legionella Risk Assessor will be given the autonomy to manage their workload, have at least 1 day a week for report writing with additional support on-site software and an annual budget to further develop their skills.
