Approved Electrician – Camberley, Surrey £40000-£45000 + Benefits including van, Mobile, Tablet and Overtime. Building Services and Compliance Consultancy who provide a range of services to commercial and industrial sites including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, water hygiene, and mechanical maintenance are looking to add to their team. Currently required is an Approved Electrician to cover commercial sites (mainly offices) around the Surrey, Berkshire and surrounding areas. Some work may be required in London, but this would be infrequent. All staff are given regional work to minimise travel and enable the Approved Electrician to get to know all sites they work on. Work is also planned a month in advance.

Duties for the Approved Electrician will include:

  • Carrying out PPM on a select number of sites ensuring health and safety standards are maintained and systems are safe.
  • Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults whilst completing electrical installs/upgrades.
  • Undertake EICRs and any additional testing including emergency lighting, fire alarm systems, and distribution boards.
  • Identifying further work requirements liaising with head office for site quoting.
  • Acting as a primary point of contact to the site manager to help plan all works.

To apply for the Approved Electrician role the following experience is required:

  • NVQ Level 3 in electrical installation.
  • 18th Edition.
  • Testing and Inspection (2391 or 2394/5).
  • Full driving license.
  • DBS checked.

Any testing will be required to be done when the building is vacated, and the Approved Electrician will be given the autonomy to plan out this work. Our client will offer a minimum of 20 hours overtime a month (uncapped) and all work carried outside normal hours is paid at a premium.
