About the role
Full time, permanent role, reporting to the Operations & Project Director, this post requires the successful candidate to be educated to degree level in Business Management, Engineering, IT or a related discipline, or possess equivalent relevant experience.
The role is based in Corpach, Fort William with regular travel and overnight stays being a requirement for the role.
Key responsibilities of the role
- Support the full life cycle bid process.
- Review RFQ documentation assessing scope, complexity & risks involved and providing feedback to Senior Management/Directors.
- Shaping bids to achieve compliant & compelling bid submissions.
- Set up and take ownership of a bid calendar and associated internal alerts.
- Participating in tender kick-off and review meetings both internally & externally.
- Write or contribute to sections of the bid response.
- Encourage continuous improvement in the bid & precontract management process.
- Ensure internal documentary & process compliance around the bid management process and contribute to continuous process improvements.
- Co-ordinate departmental input into the bid writing process.
- Support documentation preparation pre-contract start as required on won opportunities.
- Ensuring efficient transition to successful tenders with the relevant operational departments.
- Generating monthly project progress reports.
About the individual
- Educated to degree level (Business Management/Engineering/Information Technology) or qualified through relevant experience
- Excellent IT Skills and competency with Microsoft applications including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point & MS Project.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Ability to manage, plan and prioritise own workload often in a high-pressure environment with multiple deadlines.
- Proficiency in CAD Software (e. g. Auto CAD) would be highly advantageous.
