Ferguson Transport & Shipping are currently recruiting for a Marine Manager, based in Corpach, Fort William. The successful candidate will oversee the day to day operation of the vessels, manage crew, and have responsibility for compliance with statutory and maritime regulations, implementing and maintaining the safety, health, environmental and quality standards on-board company vessels.
Key features of the role:
- Working closely with crew members, to ensure vessels are suitably manned at all times
- Ensuring vessels are fully ready for service, in all aspects
- Promoting safety on board vessels
- Carrying out safety audits
- Managing inspection and audit dates
- Developing on existing work contracts and generating new clients
- Assisting HR with crew recruitment and other employee relations
Applicants must have relevant experience and knowledge of marine operations. Previous management experience would be an advantage, as well as Marine Operations, DPA and ISM Lead Auditor qualifications. Travel and overnight stays will be a part of this role.
