About the role: The Master has responsibility for ensuring the safety, compliance and efficiency of all on-board personnel.
Key features of the role:
- Ensuring familiarisation with the SMS, working & emergency procedures on-board
- Taking command of the vessel, ensuring safety & compliance
- Instructing crew adequately on their daily duties, ensuring their skills are monitored and training is evaluated
- Promoting safe navigation
- Implementing and promoting safe working practices
- Ensuring compliance with maritime legislation
- Regular communication with the shore based Marine Manager and DPA, working closely with them to ensure that customer requirements are met.
Applicants must have relevant experience and knowledge of marine operations.
