The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 £ per year.
Working with a small, agile Design team and multidisciplinary team you will be responsible for transforming concepts into reality. We are a diverse group of engineers, each bringing unique expertise to the table, from naval architecture and marine engineering to electrical and automation systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop and design electrical systems for marine vessels, including:
- Power distribution systems (AC/DC).
- Lighting and control systems.
- Propulsion systems.
- Automation and control systems.
- Communication and navigation systems.
- Safety systems (e.g., fire alarm, emergency lighting).
- Perform electrical calculations, simulations, and load analysis.
- Prepare electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes, standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, LR, DNV GL), and MCA regulations.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines appropriate to the role.
Experience
- Degree/HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Proven track record as an electrical engineer in both design office and construction environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
