About the Role

We are looking for a commercially focused and analytically driven Senior Commercial Finance Analyst to provide financial support, reporting and insight across our retail, digital and central functions. Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting strategic decision‑making through robust financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting. This is a highly collaborative role, partnering closely with stakeholders across the business to drive effective cost management, improve operational performance and support long‑term business objectives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering accurate forecasting and reforecasting, managing capex tracking and ROI analysis, and providing meaningful financial insight to both finance and operational teams. You will build strong relationships with budget holders across retail, digital and central functions, leading regular discussions to support budgetary control and enhance decision‑making. A key part of the role will also involve developing automated BI reporting and delivering high‑quality adhoc analysis to support business performance and future planning.

We are seeking a qualified or newly qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) with strong commercial acumen, excellent analytical capability and advanced Excel skills. You will have experience interpreting complex data, working with financial and BI systems, and communicating financial information clearly to a range of stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be self‑motivated, highly organised and comfortable operating in a fast‑paced environment, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while building strong working relationships across the business.

What we are looking for in a candidate:

  • Qualified or newly qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
  • Good commercial acumen with a focus with strong analytical and numerical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills to effectively liaise with budget holders and senior stakeholders.
  • Proven experience of analysing and interpreting data to identify opportunities and actively participate in the operational decision‑making process.
  • Highly skilled in financial systems as well as experience with BI systems, with an ability to manage processes efficiently.
  • Advanced Excel skills required.
  • Self‑motivated team player, happy to work independently and build relationships across the business.
  • Ability to prioritise workload whilst managing business and finance stakeholder expectations in a fast paced, ever‑changing environment.
  • Preferable: business partnering experience.
