About the role
The Junior Photographer & Retoucher role at Fenwick plays an important part in creating the high-quality imagery that brings the brand’s online offering to life. As part of the in-house Photo Studio team, you will photograph e-commerce products for the Fenwick website, support on set with image selection and coding, and retouch digital assets to ensure they meet the brand’s premium visual standards. You will also have the opportunity to support creative shoots when required, helping produce compelling imagery that supports the growth of Fenwick’s digital business.
Working closely with Studio and Image Coordinators, Stylists, the Samples team and Product Lifecycle colleagues, you will help ensure all products are captured in line with studio guidelines and delivered for retouching efficiently. The role requires strong organisation and attention to detail, with a focus on maintaining quality while working at pace. You will typically shoot between 40–60 products per day across both still life and model photography, ensuring imagery is consistent, accurate, and ready to go live on site as quickly as possible.
This position would suit someone with a photography degree or previous professional photography experience who thrives in a fast-paced studio environment. You will be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively, managing deadlines while maintaining exceptional quality standards. Experience using tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Capture One, and studio equipment from brands like Canon and Profoto would be advantageous, along with a proactive approach and a passion for producing premium visual content.
What we are looking for in a candidate:
- Highly organised with excellent time management and meticulous attention to detail.
- Comfortable working on and off set, to high targets.
- Image retouch experience across Fashion and Non-Fashion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to form strong working relationships and thrive working as a team.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently at pace to a very high standard, managing workload to strict deadlines.
- Able to work collaboratively and proactively to meet challenging deadlines.
- Great communication skills, ensuring stakeholders are kept up to date with any issues and updates.
- Experience with Adobe creative suite (Photoshop in particular), Capture One, Wacom tablet, Monday.com and google sheets preferred.
- Experience working with Profoto and Canon Camera preferred.
