About the role
As a Digital Trader at Fenwick, you’ll be responsible for developing and executing trading strategies that maximise sales, profit, and customer engagement. From managing product ranges and assortment to owning the trading calendar and identifying commercial opportunities, you’ll play a key part in ensuring our customers are inspired by our offer while delivering against sales and performance targets.
Working closely with Buying & Merchandising, Marketing, Site Optimisation, and Analytics teams, you’ll analyse trading KPIs and web performance to react quickly to customer behaviour and market trends. You’ll oversee online merchandising, manage promotions and product launches, and optimise onsite search and navigation to enhance the customer journey. You’ll also be a key link between Fenwick and concession brands, presenting trading insights and actions to support their performance while contributing to catalogue marketing and content planning.
This role is suited to a commercially driven, analytical eCommerce professional with strong trading and optimisation experience. You’ll be highly numerate, confident with data, and proficient in tools such as Excel, merchandising platforms, and analytics systems. Shopify and Agility PIM experience would be an advantage but not essential. You’ll also bring strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and coach a team of Assistant Traders while working collaboratively across functions.
What we are looking for in a candidate…
- Strong eCommerce trading and optimisation experience
- Strong numerical and analytical background
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Experience of eCommerce merchandising software and analytics tools
- Shopify & Agility PIM experience ideal but not required
- Experience of working with both own bought products and concession brands advantageous
- Commercially aware with strong trading focus
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and team working skills
- The ability to perform under pressure and work in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to prioritise workload effectively and meet deadlines
