About the role


In this role, you’ll work closely with the Digital Trading Manager to manage online merchandising, optimisation, reporting and forecasting, ensuring the smooth delivery of trade plans and contributing directly to our digital sales targets. With your analytical mindset and keen eye for opportunity, you’ll play an important part in shaping how our products are presented online to engage and inspire customers.


As an Assistant Trader, you’ll support with regular trade reporting and analysis, providing insights on sales, stock, conversion and customer behaviour to help influence category strategy. You’ll assist with coordinating campaigns, brand launches and seasonal opportunities, ensuring products are well-merchandised across the site and that key trends are reflected in our offer. You’ll also contribute to enhancing the customer experience through optimising search results, curating edits for key trading moments, and supporting testing on content, launches and digital journeys.


This role is ideal for someone who is highly numerate, detail-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced digital environment. Experience in eCommerce and knowledge of digital merchandising principles is advantageous, alongside confidence using tools such as Excel, Google Analytics, Shopify, Nosto or Klaviyo. Most importantly, you’ll be eager to learn, able to prioritise effectively, and confident working cross-functionally with teams across Buying & Merchandising, Marketing, Operations, and Analytics.

  • Experience in an eCommerce environment is advantageous with an understanding of Digital Merchandising principles including colour and trend.
  • An analytical and numerate mind is a must to drive sales and profit.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Producing insights to help influence category plans and enhance customer’s experience.
  • Build relationships & effectively working with branded partners.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Google Analytics, Shopify, Nosto & Klaviyo, all advantageous.
