About the role
As a BI Developer, you will be a key member of our IT Data Team, designing, developing and supporting Business Intelligence solutions that deliver accurate, timely and trusted data across the organisation. Working closely with stakeholders from Finance, Digital, Retail, Marketing and Logistics, you will translate business requirements into scalable data models, dashboards and reports that provide clear insight into retail performance and commercial opportunities.
You will play an active role in building and maintaining robust data foundations – developing and optimising SQL, managing ETL pipelines, supporting data warehouse environments, and ensuring strong governance, monitoring and data quality controls. Using tools such as Azure, SQL Server, Snowflake and leading BI platforms (e.g. Qlik Sense, Power BI or Tableau), you will reduce time to insight and drive greater adoption of analytics solutions across the business.
Beyond delivery, you will champion the effective and responsible use of data. This includes coaching colleagues in data literacy, clearly explaining insights to audiences up to Director and CFO level, and identifying opportunities to unlock additional value from existing and emerging data sources. With an eye on 2026 and beyond, you will help shape a future-ready, scalable data platform, embracing modern capabilities such as AI-assisted analytics and anomaly detection in a controlled and explainable way.
