With a strong emphasis on the Beauty division, our most dynamic and commercially strategic category, you will ensure that staffing arrangements are both financially robust and operationally effective. This role also supports supplier-funded resource agreements across other own-bought divisions, ensuring every partner presence delivers measurable value.

You will combine commercial acumen with collaborative leadership and a deep understanding of performance drivers to deliver profitable outcomes and service excellence. In collaboration with the People team, you will help ensure all supplier-funded team members are living up to both Fenwick and the brand’s shared values, behaviours and service expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commercial Relationship Management: Build strong, collaborative partnerships with external brands, especially within Beauty, ensuring their presence in-store is both commercially sound and aligned with our strategic and service expectations.
  • Staffing Strategy & Oversight: Define and implement optimum staffing levels for external brand teams, particularly in Beauty, while supporting additional supplier-funded arrangements across other own-bought categories. Review resource levels in line with productivity targets, sales goals, and customer expectations. Drive productivity performance and ensure brand-funded staffing aligns to mutually agreed output standards.
  • Cost Control & Financial Modelling: Lead the negotiation of cost-share splits and funding agreements across Beauty and other applicable divisions. Improve commercial outcomes while ensuring all brand-related costs are forecast, tracked, and reconciled efficiently.
  • Performance Monitoring: Set and monitor service level commitments and KPIs for brand partners, focusing on productivity, conversion and vacancy rates to ensure targets are achieved.
  • Operational Excellence: Deliver solutions to operational challenges and ensure financial integrity through accurate recharge and credit processes. Implement scalable and timely invoicing and reconciliation processes.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Act as the voice of Retail in multi-functional teams. Collaborate with People, Buying, Merchandising, Legal, Finance, and Store leadership to align on brand resourcing needs, especially within Beauty. Partner with the People team to support behavioural and cultural alignment of supplier-funded team members. Work closely with the Commercial, Buying, and Merchandising teams to ensure supplier-funded staffing agreements are clearly embedded within top-level brand negotiations and commercial discussions.
  • Strategic Planning: Lead half-yearly strategy reviews with external brands to coordinate future staffing proposals and ensure ongoing alignment with Fenwick’s commercial strategy.
