Overview


Develop, implement, and review care plans, ensuring they are followed correctly and tailored to the service user\'s specific requirements.


Responsibilities



  • Medication Management: Administer medication to service users in accordance with care plans, policies, and procedures.

  • Health Monitoring: Monitor and record vital signs, observations, and the general progress of service users, reporting any changes to appropriate healthcare professionals.

  • Communication: Liaise with families, GPs, and other health professionals, providing updates on the service user\'s progress and building positive relationships.

  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of daily activities, care provided, and observations in line with organizational policies.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that high standards of care are delivered and maintained, conducting quality checks on care assistants.

  • Training & Mentoring: Participate in the training and induction of new staff members, sharing best practices and skills.

  • Staff Supervision & Support: Oversee and mentor a team of care assistants, providing guidance, support, and professional development.


Qualifications



  • Qualifications: A relevant qualification in care, such as NVQ/SVQ Level 3, is often required.

  • Experience: Previous experience as a care assistant is essential.

  • Leadership: The ability to lead and motivate a team.

  • Communication: Strong verbal and listening skills to communicate effectively with service users, families, and colleagues.

  • Compassion: A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to care.

  • Organizational Skills: Good time management and organizational skills to manage workload and staff
