Responsibilities: * Support our residents with in-house activities and hobbies * Providing support to achieve every day goals including personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and toileting * Manage some behaviours that challenge * Assistant and support to attend medical appointments * Observe, monitor and record physical and emotional well-being, and promptly report any changes to senior staff * Provide emotional support to individuals and their families * Support and monitor healthcare needs, including administering medication and temperature checks * Understand communication needs and adapt your communication to each individual * Work with other professionals, such as nurses and therapists, to ensure consistency of support * Personal Care * Analyse an individual’s needs and draw up a focused support plan Qualifications and Skills * Excellent interpersonal skills and a caring nature * Empathy, understanding and patience * Ability to work on your own and as part of a team * Ability to understand and follow policies and procedure * The ability to anticipate and respond to challenges * Competent in verbal and written English * A healthcare qualification is desirable, but not essential To be considered for this role, we require you to have the right to work in the UK
