Fenway X is looking for ambitious, self-motivated, and proactive team players to join our growing team of highly experienced quantity surveying experts, based in London.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for development while working with a small team of experienced individuals on a variety of international construction projects.
Role Description
This role is typically suitable for professionals with a quantity surveying or civil engineer background with a minimum of 5 years’ experience working on construction and engineering projects either as a contractor, consultant or client.
Ideally, you will have previously worked with an Independent Expert Witness and have assisted in the preparation of quantum analysis, appendices and reports.
- Role Responsibilities
- Supporting world-renowned experts in dispute resolution, litigation support and expert witness evidence;
- Conducting data research, document review (drawings, specifications, reports, financials, etc.), and analysis to identify key metrics for expert reports and appendices
- Preparing and contributing to expert reports, including drafting sections and developing robust supporting documentation
- Undertaking quantum analysis, including quantification of prolongation, disruption, and cost claims
- Managing project team workloads, budgets, and fee reporting
- Liaising with clients and lawyers as appropriate
- Adaptable team player with a willingness to travel domestically and internationally
- Solving complex problems through structured, analytical thinking
- Qualification Required
- Degree level education in building construction, engineering, quantity surveying and/or related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a relevant field of quantity surveying, cost engineering, contracts management and/or construction management.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office (particularly Word and Excel), with experience in Cost X, BIM, or similar tools.
- Experience in undertaking quantum analysis, with practical experience in the quantification of prolongation, disruption, and general cost claims.
- Proven experience in drafting or supporting the preparation of quantum expert reports.
- English language (written and spoken), other languages an advantage.
- Professional membership of, or progress toward, a recognised body such as RICS or CIArb.
