Fenton Timber manufactures heavy duty commercial garden furniture. We deliver throughout England & Wales with our own vehicles (3.5t Transit), and we are looking for delivery drivers to make these deliveries.
As part of a team, you would be responsible for making deliveries across England & Wales, predominantly to pubs, hotels, schools, universities and leisure facilities. These are bulk deliveries and tend to be (on average) 5-6 sites per day, depending upon demand.
Candidates must be physically fit, as the role involves regular heavy lifting and manual unloading of goods; our vehicles can carry in excess of 1 ton of furniture. Some assembly is required on site also, basic DIY skills are a requirement; full training would be provided.
Overtime is a requirement during peak periods, due to the area we cover; but we only work Monday to Friday as a general rule. Hourly rate is negotiable, payroll is weekly.
Your own transport is required to commute to our site in Earith (PE28), as our company vehicles must be returned to HQ after deliveries are completed. Our insurance provider stipulates drivers must be a minimum of 25 years of age. Work references required.
