About the Role

As Facilities & Logistics Operative, you will support the smooth running of our nursery portfolio by managing laundry operations, preparing stock and supporting logistics processes from our central hub in Teddington. You will:

  • Process daily laundry requirements, including washing, drying, folding and preparing items for nursery sites.
  • Ensure all laundered items meet high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Monitor and report stock levels of linen and operational items.
  • Maintain and support laundry equipment, reporting any faults or issues.
  • Pick, pack and prepare consumables, uniforms, linen and nursery supplies for dispatch.
  • Organise stock rooms and storage areas to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Assist with inventory checks, stock counts and stock control processes.
  • Support logistics preparation to ensure timely and accurate deliveries to nursery sites.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment at all times.
  • Follow health & safety and manual handling procedures consistently.
  • Support continuous improvement across laundry and logistics processes.

What we’re looking for

You are reliable, hands-on and take pride in delivering high standards of operational work. You enjoy structured tasks, working with detail and being part of a team that keeps everything moving behind the scenes. You will have:

  • Previous experience in warehouse, laundry, logistics, facilities or operational environments.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to carry out manual handling and physical tasks safely.
  • A strong work ethic and dependable approach to attendance and timekeeping.
  • Experience in commercial laundry operations (Desirable).
  • Experience using stock control or inventory systems (Desirable).
  • Experience supporting facilities or multi-site operations (Desirable).
