We are currently seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join our expanding and well-established workshop team. You will be working in a modern, high-spec environment maintaining and repairing a large fleet of HGVs and trailers, as well as supporting a diverse customer base. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled technician looking for a stable, long-term role with strong earning potential, regular overtime, and career progression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out PMI inspections (Preventative Maintenance Inspections) on HGVs and trailers
  • Diagnose faults and complete effective repairs
  • Conduct brake testing and ensure full safety compliance
  • Prepare and present vehicles for MOT testing
  • Take vehicles for MOT tests when required
  • Record and report all work completed to the Workshop Manager
  • Use R2C workshop management software (full training provided)

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic (essential)
  • HGV Class 1 driving licence required
  • Strong diagnostic, repair, and maintenance skills on HGVs and trailers
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced workshop environment
  • Flexible approach to shift patterns and overtime
  • Not suitable for trainee or entry-level applicants
