We are currently seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join our expanding and well-established workshop team. You will be working in a modern, high-spec environment maintaining and repairing a large fleet of HGVs and trailers, as well as supporting a diverse customer base. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled technician looking for a stable, long-term role with strong earning potential, regular overtime, and career progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out PMI inspections (Preventative Maintenance Inspections) on HGVs and trailers
- Diagnose faults and complete effective repairs
- Conduct brake testing and ensure full safety compliance
- Prepare and present vehicles for MOT testing
- Take vehicles for MOT tests when required
- Record and report all work completed to the Workshop Manager
- Use R2C workshop management software (full training provided)
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic (essential)
- HGV Class 1 driving licence required
- Strong diagnostic, repair, and maintenance skills on HGVs and trailers
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced workshop environment
- Flexible approach to shift patterns and overtime
- Not suitable for trainee or entry-level applicants
