Trekitt does not have stores, it has Service Centres, where our customers know to come to receive the best retail and service experience in the marketplace. We are proven to deliver and have evolved to deliver a high-level experience through hard effort and a thoughtful approach.
We are looking for someone who loves the outdoors and can share that passion with our customers, inspiring them through your own experiences and adventures. Being outdoors is in our DNA and is our company’s foundation.
You will be responsible for a broad spectrum of duties within the role, including visual merchandising, stock processing, POS operations, and maintaining a clean environment all whilst keeping abreast of the exciting developments in the outdoor gear world and make sure you are getting those key sales over the line. No easy task, but one that will be rewarded by your colleague's enthusiasm and that warm fuzzy feeling you get when things are done well.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Achieving a high level of turnover and sales
- Delivering the best quality customer service and retail experience in the outdoor market
- Help to present and maintain a neat, clean and orderly retail environment
- Developing an encyclopaedic knowledge of outdoor clothing and equipment and its underpinning technologies
- Keeping abreast of outdoor clothing and equipment trends and developments
- Maintaining and developing the Trekitt culture amongst your colleagues and customers. Ethos and identity are everything to us and we need every customer to know that
WHO YOU ARE
- A genuine love and passion for the outdoors and whatever you do in it
- Three years’ experience in a similar retail role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- An eye for detail
- Experience and knowledge of outdoor retail is preferable.
- Numeracy skills and proficiency using a POS and IT (Office Suite) software
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask
- Able to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment and achieve targets
- Positive attitude with drive and determination
