The Department Manager works closely with the Store Manager to support the store's organization and contributes to the proper running of its own department activities, meeting KPIs and striving to achieve assigned goals. He/she is responsible for merchandising, stock availability, sales, profitability, customer journey, team, and day-to-day management.
Job Responsibilities:
- Category Sales Management and Business Development: Lead and develop the department's business by understanding it comprehensively and strategically, relating to all relevant stakeholders. Monitor and achieve performance KPIs for the category department; Analyze the business, propose, and implement action plans to improve results; Set performance targets for the team and individual in collaboration with the Store Manager; Stay aware of competitors' activities and provide feedback to the Store Manager.
- Client Management: Utilize all clienteling tools to meet department and store goals; Demonstrate sales leadership by delivering excellent customer service and clienteling activities; Manage customer service quality to meet customer expectations; Improve Mystery Shopper results through action plans; Implement CRM tools and develop loyal customers in specific product categories; Act as a brand ambassador to educate VIP and new clients.
- Operations and Visual Merchandising: Ensure proper management, display, storage, and maintenance of merchandise by the team; Maintain inventory accuracy and control shrinkage within standards; Report stock shortages of bestsellers to Stock Planning and Merchandising teams; Maintain visual merchandising standards according to company guidelines; Coordinate visual display and sales performance periodically; Optimize display and storage solutions.
- Team Management and Development: Review individual performance monthly and coach team members; Motivate the team to perform at their best to meet objectives; Organize team structure according to business needs and delegate responsibilities; Translate strategic goals into actionable individual objectives; Conduct category-specific training for the team; Implement in-store training routines as directed by the Store Manager.
Profile:
- 7 years' experience in a supervisory role within Fashion/Luxury Sales, with relevant category exposure
