Job Title:Product Manager, eCommerce EMEA
Responsible to:Director of Product, eCommerce
Description
Fender is looking for aProduct Manager, eCommerce EMEA to join our fast growing & dynamic global eCommerce team. You will be working close to the UK based eCommerce team & multiple teams across the organization, evolving our customer experience, processes, and representing go‑to‑market strategies into the EMEA region for the features we build including the improvements, and expansion plans for FMIC brand websites & digital ecosystem.
By placing product discovery, customer engagement and revenue potential at the forefront, you’ll be marshaling and nurturing engineers, designers, and marketing representatives to build and deliver a best‑in‑class direct‑to‑consumer experience for our customers in the EMEA region within a ‘think globally, act locally’ mindset supporting our growth goals.
The role demands technical depth, with principled, empathetic and innovative thinking, sound judgement, and a refusal to settle at “just OK”. In addition, a high bar for quality and design, and a mentality of starting with the “Player” and working backward into experiences and products that make them better holistically.
About the Job:
- Be the regional Product voice contributing to the success for global feature roll‑outs and being the advocate for region‑specific projects, seeing through from ideation to implementation.
- Work across multiple brands within the EMEA region to understand the architecture required to run a scalable product that thinks globally and can act locally to fit our regional business requirements.
- Internalize, contextualize, and advocate the mission of the Fender brand and products into onsite improvements and new features adding value to our strategic roadmap.
- Be naturally inquisitive in feature functionality to understand platform capabilities, push its limitations, and evaluate how feature enhancement translates into our business needs and growth goals.
- Drive and keep cross‑functional teams focused on the goal of the end product with a consistent set of KPIs and goals/objectives.
- Be the arbiter of truth: collect, contextualize, and drive decisions through data. Solicit feedback and explore the best‑in‑class landscape. Strike a balance between our business objectives, customer needs, and technological capabilities.
- Drive innovative thinking in the team, pushing into new territory and capabilities. That means pushing engineers, designers, and other team members further than they may be comfortable with while providing them with the three C’s (context, clarity, and coverage).
- Collaborate with the business, engineering, design, product marketing, research teams and other stakeholders to oversee the creation, development, and iteration of roadmap.
- Monitor and measure products after launch as part of the “Measure” and “Learn” portions of Lean product thinking.
- Clearly communicate roadmap, goals, findings, and data (good and bad) to executives, stakeholders, and the public at large. Be your own marketer.
What You Need:
- Experience in launching digital products within a commerce vertical, with a solid technical understanding. Musical Instrument, Lifestyle commerce or entertainment industry‑related commerce is a plus.
- Experience with international eCommerce (multi‑brand / multi‑currency / multi‑lingual support, country‑by‑country checkout and VAT requirements, etc.).
- Experience with e‑commerce platforms, including driving purchase funnel optimization, increasing AOV, and omnichannel shopping experiences.
- Excellent design and user experience instincts with an empathetic approach to customer development.
- A desire for perfection in every aspect of what you make.
- The ability to drive, motivate, support, and earn the trust of cross‑functional teams.
- A strong communicator, with the ability to be able to translate technical information for a wider audience.
- A great understanding of data and how to tell narratives from it.
Bonus Points:
- Experience with Shopify is a strong plus.
- Experience working with a CMS integration, such as Contentful.
- Experience working within React, Next.JS code bases.
- Extensive experience with A/B testing.
- Experience with cross‑platform commerce integration.
- Experience building lifestyle commerce‑type products.
- A background working within multi‑lingual and localizable web experience.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor\'s Degree preferred or the equivalent level of professional experience.
