Fender is one of the most iconic brands in music and culture. The Content & Social Manager is the creative lead for social across EMEA, owning how content shapes our social strategy in the region.

This role is for a culturally curious, highly creative, and data-savvy marketer who thrives in a fast-paced, digital-first world; someone who can shape brand conversations, grow our communities, and keep Fender at the heart of cultural moments.

Rather than sitting in an edit suite all day, this person leads the creative vision: writing treatments, directing ideas, and commissioning and managing external production partners to bring content to life, while staying hands-on with lightweight, social-first content when the moment calls for it.

Dotted line into

Global digital team, to align the EMEA programme with Global social and content strategy.

Works closely with

Artist Marketing, Paid Media, Retail Marketing and PR teams

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the creative lead for social across EMEA, owning the content vision and shaping how content drives our social media strategy across core European markets.
  • Lead and evolve Fender's social media strategy, ensuring alignment with global brand direction and local marketing goals.
  • Own the content strategy across all EMEA social channels, driving consistent storytelling, tone of voice, and brand identity.
  • Write creative treatments and content concepts, and present and sell them to internal stakeholders, securing buy-in and alignment before production.
  • Commission, brief, and direct external videographers, editors, and creative partners to produce high-quality content; own the creative direction end-to-end rather than delivering full production hands-on.

Owning relationships, briefs, timelines, budgets, and quality control to ensure output is timely and on-brand.

  • Stay hands-on with lightweight, social-first content where it adds value, self-shooting DIY formats such as Tik Toks and Reels, while directing collaborators for anything beyond quick-turn capture.
  • Create and execute local integrated campaigns, collaborating with the global creative team and external partners across creative treatments, artist sessions, live content, interviews, and product launches.
  • Proactively manage communities, fostering meaningful two-way engagement and cultivating a loyal, positive digital fandom.
  • Lead social media reporting, tracking performance, analysing insights, and making actionable recommendations to enhance reach, engagement, and growth.
  • Collaborate across departments, including Marketing, Artist Marketing, PR, and Paid Media, to align on messaging, assets, and campaign goals.
  • Activate artist, creator, and influencer content, working closely with the Artist Marketing team to bring partnerships to life across our channels.
  • Localise content for each market, not just translate it, ensuring it is relevant, resonant, and culturally on point.
  • Identify culturally relevant moments throughout the year and own the EMEA cultural calendar, using it to plan ahead and spot unique, content-led initiatives that put Fender in the conversation.
  • Maintain best practices for content publishing, including tagging, formatting, community management, and scheduling.
  • Support broader marketing initiatives and take on ad-hoc projects as directed by the EMEA Marketing Director.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience leading social and content for a major brand, media platform, or creative organisation, ideally across multiple markets or languages.
  • A strong creative eye and content instinct, able to develop concepts, write treatments, and set creative direction that translates a brand into scroll-stopping social content.
  • Experience commissioning and directing external production, briefing and managing videographers, editors, and creative partners to deliver against a vision, brief, and budget.
  • Comfortable owning a content production budget, allocating spend across initiatives and partners, tracking costs, and delivering strong creative value for the investment.
  • Comfortable getting hands-on with social-first content when needed, self-shooting quick-turn formats for Tik Tok, Instagram, and You Tube, without this being the core of the role.
  • Confident presenting creative ideas to stakeholders, able to articulate and sell a concept and win alignment across teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of all major social platforms (Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook, You Tube, Reddit) and how to build audiences within each.
  • Experience with emerging technologies including AI tools for content ideation, scheduling, community engagement, or analytics, with a proactive mindset towards testing and adopting new solutions.
  • Data-driven mindset, fluent in tools such as Sprinklr, Meta Business Suite and Google Analytics, with the ability to derive insight and take action.
  • Track record of driving growth and engagement, with examples of campaigns that delivered results and built brand affinity.
  • Strong instinct for cultural trends and emerging conversations, with the agility to create or adapt content in real time.
  • Experience tailoring content across languages and cultures, with an understanding of localisation best practices.
  • Outstanding organisational and project management skills, comfortable juggling multiple campaigns, stakeholders, and partners.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and entrepreneurial approach; you take ownership, solve problems, and move at pace.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional European languages are a plus.
