Artist and Creator Marketing Lead – EMEA
At Fender Musical Instruments Corporation (“FMIC”), our brand mission is to serve players at every stage with products and brand experiences that fuel the pursuit of musical expression. An American icon, Fender was born in Southern California and has built a worldwide influence extending beyond the studio and the stage. A Fender is more than an instrument; it’s a cultural symbol that resonates globally.
About The Job
We’re looking for a visionary Artist & Creator Marketing Lead to join the Fender EMEA Marketing organisation based in London – someone who thrives at the intersection of music, cultural influence, and brand storytelling. This is a strategic and creative leadership role, responsible for driving our artist marketing, content creator partnerships, and culturally-led content initiatives across Europe. You will shape how Fender connects with the musicians and content creators who define today’s music culture – expanding our relevance, share of voice, and long-term influence across genres and geographies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Fender’s Artist & Creator Marketing strategy across EMEA, partnering closely with teams in Nashville, EMEA, APAC, and Latin America to grow artist adoption, expand cultural impact, and align artist voices with strategic brand and product priorities.
- Lead and inspire the EMEA Artist & Creator Marketing team, fostering a collaborative, service-driven culture that supports artists and drives year-over-year share growth through strategic artist seeding, sales, and product placement.
- Identify and champion the right artists and creators, ensuring Fender’s products are in the right hands, in the right markets, at the right cultural moments.
- Develop and activate artist-driven marketing initiatives, working with internal and external teams to bring campaigns to life across product, content, PR, social, experiential, and partnerships.
- Collaborate with global and regional marketing, product, and content teams to align artists with new launches, evergreen campaigns, and broader brand-building efforts.
- Own strategic relationships with artist management and label partners, co-creating impactful marketing and content initiatives that amplify both the artist and the Fender brand.
- Develop and manage artist-led content initiatives, collaborating with artists and their teams to produce breakthrough content for Fender’s owned and social channels.
- In collaboration with Global, drive a regionally relevant creator marketing strategy, leveraging emerging and established content creators to increase reach, engagement, and brand love.
- Work cross-functionally to lead Signature artist product development, from ideation and artist management to KPI definition, sell-in, marketing, and post-launch execution.
- Champion diverse voices and inclusive storytelling, ensuring Fender’s artist and creator initiatives reflect the global, multi-cultural reality of music and creativity today.
- Generate value beyond marketing through artist-driven business opportunities that contribute to web traffic, content output, media exposure, and sales growth.
Who You Are
- A seasoned music and entertainment marketer with 10+ years of experience building artist and grassroots marketing programmes at a brand, agency, or label.
- A respected people leader with 5+ years of management experience and a track record of team development, collaboration, and cross-functional influence.
- Deep experience working directly with emerging and high-profile artists, songwriters, managers, and cultural influencers across genres and regions.
- A trusted industry connector with a strong, active network of artist managers, agents, labels, creators, and music industry stakeholders.
- A strategic thinker with a proven ability to plan upstream, align talent with product cycles, and drive business results (category growth, engagement, share of voice, etc.).
- Well-versed in the creator economy dynamics, with an understanding of influencer trends, digital content strategies, and creator partnerships that move culture.
- Digitally fluent, with hands-on experience using social and content platforms to identify and support emerging talent and build brand equity.
- A true collaborator, skilled at aligning teams across PR, Social, Events, Product, and Retail to deliver artist-first campaigns that drive impact.
- A natural storyteller and strong communicator – written, visual, and verbal – with sharp instincts for brand alignment and artist positioning.
- A service-minded champion for artists, passionate about delivering meaningful value through gear, exposure, collaboration, and connection to grow our evolving roster of artists.
- A self-starter and operator – someone who builds the plan, communicates it clearly, executes, evaluates, and iterates.
- An advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion, who understands the role of representation in both artistry and brand.
- Guitar or bass proficiency, or a strong familiarity with musical instruments, is a major plus.
Additional Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business, or related field preferred (but not required).
- Passion for music, artists, and Fender’s unique role in shaping global music culture.
- Experience working across multi-cultural markets and with multi-lingual teams.
- Willingness to travel as needed to attend shoots, shows, artist meetings, and key moments.
