Due to continuing growth following a number of new projects we are currently looking for several talented individuals to join our rapidly growing software business on full-time basis.
Role Summary
The CTRM Functional SME is the lead functional authority for the Perth-based CTRM program, responsible for shaping and validating the functional solution, guiding configuration and process design, and ensuring the delivered Fusion CTRM solution aligns to trading and operational needs.
This role bridges business and delivery teams through workshops, design leadership, testing oversight, and go-live readiness.
Responsibilities
- Lead functional problem definition and requirements discovery; translate business requirements into functional designs and solution options for Fusion CTRM.
- Define and validate solution approaches, functional workflows, and feasibility in partnership with technical leads and client stakeholders.
- Facilitate workshops and client meetings to elicit requirements, validate process maps, and confirm end-to-end designs.
- Provide functional leadership during build/configuration and enhancements/customizations; ensure fit-for-purpose design and consistent solution patterns.
- Own functional test strategy and execution oversight (SIT/UAT): test scenarios, business validation, defect triage, and sign-offs.
- Define operational objectives and output requirements (confirmations, invoices, settlement statements, risk/reporting outputs) and ensure they are met.
- Develop functional specifications, workflow diagrams, and supporting documentation; improve processes by assessing current practices and designing modifications.
- Guide data and reporting requirements from a functional perspective; partner with integration/data teams to ensure correct business outcomes.
- Support training content and delivery for business users; lead go-live readiness from a functional adoption perspective.
- Contribute to stakeholder relationship building and, where required, support proposals/business development.
Essential skills and expertise
- 10+ years relevant experience in CTRM functional delivery (commodities trading operations, risk, settlements, logistics), including multiple end-to-end CTRM implementations.
• Deep functional expertise across at least two of the following
- Trade capture & lifecycle management
- Physical operations / logistics / inventory
- Risk (market/credit), exposures, P&L, Va R (where applicable)
- Prior CTRM implementation experience (Fusion CTRM preferred; or Enuit, EKA, Openlink, Allegro, Aspect, etc.).
- Experience integrating CTRM with upstream/downstream systems (e. g., ERP, ETRM/market data, scheduling, treasury) across multiple commodities.
- Strong SDLC understanding and ability to collaborate with technical teams; working knowledge of concepts such as SQL and system interfaces.
- Excellent ability to communicate complex business concepts into clear functional/technical documentation.
- Proven stakeholder management in multi-geography, cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred) or equivalent experience.
