We are looking to recruit Catering Assistants to work on a casual basis in our Senior and Prep School Catering Teams. The team works during usual School service (breakfast, lunch and supper) and during School functions and events (evening and weekends).
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and delivery of catering service to students, guests, parents and staff.
- Work on the main hot serving areas or provide full table service during functions and events.
- Support clearing away crockery and cutlery, washing up and cleaning of floors after service.
- Support the catering team by covering staff absences or providing extra support during busy periods.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Awareness of dietary requirements (nut, dairy, wheat allergies, vegan and vegetarian options).
- Ability to work well and calmly during busy periods.
- Friendly and welcoming approach to customer service.
- Interest in the ordinary duties associated with catering and education industry.
Hours & Compensation
- Hours: Term‑time and school holidays, covering usual school hours (Monday to Sunday 7:00 am to 6:00 pm), with School functions and events during the evening and weekends.
- Working arrangement: casual basis, flexible “as and when needed” basis.
- Pay: £14.25 per hour (£12.71 salary per hour plus £1.54 holiday pay).
