A well-established and accredited building services contractor seeking an experienced HSQE Auditor/Advisor to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and knowledgeable H&S professional to play a key role in maintaining and developing a positive safety culture across a range of active construction and maintenance projects.
The Role
You will be responsible for carrying out HSQE audits across active construction sites, maintenance teams, completed works and project management teams. Day-to-day duties will include preparing and submitting audit reports, conducting COSHH assessments, preparing method statements, WPPs and task briefings, delivering toolbox talks, investigating accidents and near misses, and liaising with clients on all health and safety matters. You will also assist with external audits by accreditation bodies and support site management when required.
What We're Looking For
- Familiarity with the operational railway environment and applicable procedures and standards
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate (essential)
- Personal Track Safety (PTS) certification
- A trade-related qualification
- Strong report writing and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Good man management skills with the ability to promote a positive HSQE culture at all levels
- Assertive, approachable and a collaborative team player
