About the Opportunity

Fella & Jones is partnering with a globally recognised luxury fashion house to appoint an experienced HR Manager for France, based in London. Reporting to the Human Resources Director for Europe, this position will serve as the primary HR partner for the French business, providing expert guidance on employee relations, labour law compliance, organisational effectiveness, and stakeholder management. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting both employees and leadership teams while ensuring all HR practices align with local legislation and the organisation's global people strategy. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage complex employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary procedures, grievances, performance management, and conflict resolution.
  • Provide expert advice and support to managers on employment legislation, HR policies, and best practice.
  • Mitigate organisational risk through proactive employee relations management and sound decision-making.
  • Ensure full compliance with French employment law and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor legislative developments and provide guidance on their impact across the business.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of HR policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
  • Act as the primary HR representative for the French Works Council (CSE).
  • Coordinate and support all consultation and information processes.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with employee representatives and key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with senior leaders to support organisational objectives and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Partner with the wider European HR team to drive consistency, employee engagement, and talent initiatives.
  • Contribute to strategic HR projects and change management programmes across the region.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will be a confident and commercially minded HR professional with a strong background in employee relations and French labour law.

Essential Requirements

  • Significant HR generalist experience with a strong focus on employee relations.
  • In-depth knowledge of French employment legislation and Works Council (CSE) processes.
  • Proven experience managing complex employee relations cases independently.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in French and English.
