Fella & Jones are delighted to be exclusively partnered with a design-led premium womenswear brand in their search for a Senior Merchandise Manager /Head of Merchandising. Renowned for its refined aesthetic and modern wardrobe solutions, this brand is entering an exciting phase of international expansion, and this role will be central to driving trading performance and commercial excellence across all channels and markets.
This is a senior, trading-focused role suited to a commercially astute merchandising leader with deep experience in premium womenswear. While product understanding and brand sensitivity are essential, the emphasis is on merchandising strategy, stock optimisation, and trading performance across stores and digital, rather than buying.
Key Responsibilities- Merchandising & Trading Strategy: Own the end-to-end merchandising strategy, ensuring ranges are effectively planned, traded, and optimised to deliver sales, margin, and stock targets across all regions.
- Trading & Performance Management: Lead weekly and seasonal trading across stores and online, using dataâled insight to drive fullâprice sellâthrough, manage markdowns, and maximise profitability.
- Stock & Inventory Management: Oversee forecasting, intake, allocation, replenishment, and stock balancing across stores and eâcommerce, ensuring agility and responsiveness to trade.
- Drive consistent and effective trading across physical retail and digital channels, ensuring stock is in the right place at the right time across domestic and international markets.
- Market & Competitor Insight: Monitor market trends and competitor performance to inform trading decisions, pricing strategy, and commercial opportunities.
- CrossâFunctional Collaboration: Work closely with Design, Retail, Eâcommerce, Marketing, and Operations to align merchandising plans with brand vision, campaign activity, and commercial goals.
- Commercial Planning: Lead seasonal and longârange planning, including sales forecasts, margin planning, and OTB management, supporting sustainable global growth.
- Build, lead, and inspire a highâperforming merchandising and trading team, fostering a culture of ownership, pace, and commercial curiosity.
- Significant experience in senior Merchandising or Trading roles within premium or contemporary womenswear.
- Strong track record of driving trading performance across stores and omnichannel environments.
- Deep understanding of stock management, allocation, replenishment, and trading levers.
- Experience managing international markets, ideally across EMEA and the US.
- Highly analytical, commercially driven, and confident making fastâpaced trading decisions.
- A collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence crossâfunctional teams.
- Digitalâfirst mindset with strong eâcommerce merchandising experience.
