Fella & Jones are delighted to be partnering with a leading luxury fashion brand to recruit an experienced
Buyer / Merchandiser to join their growing team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven individual with a passion for luxury product and fashion.
Working closely with Design, Buying and Merchandising teams, you will play a key role in shaping seasonal collections, building commercially successful ranges and driving trading performance across retail stores and e-commerce.
The Role
As Buyer / Merchandiser, you'll be responsible for developing commercially balanced product assortments that reflect customer demand, market trends and brand direction.
You'll work closely with suppliers and international partners, attending market appointments and travelling to Paris for seasonal showroom visits, range reviews and buying appointments.
You'll also oversee trading performance throughout the season, managing forecasting, inventory, pricing and stock optimisation to maximise sales, margin and sell-through across multiple channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and develop seasonal product ranges across luxury fashion categories.
- Travel to Paris and international showrooms to attend buying appointments and review seasonal collections.
- Analyse market trends, customer insights and competitor activity to inform buying decisions.
- Manage assortment planning, pricing architecture and range balance.
- Partner with Design, Production and Merchandising teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Monitor trading performance and implement actions to maximise sales, margin and stock efficiency.
- Manage inventory, forecasting, allocations and replenishment across retail and e-commerce.
- Develop strong relationships with brands, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
About You
- Previous experience within Buying, Merchandising or a combined Buying & Merchandising role.
- Luxury or premium fashion retail experience is essential.
- Experience building seasonal ranges and attending buying appointments.
- Strong commercial awareness with excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Confident using sales data and customer insights to make commercial decisions.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with merchandising systems such as SAP or similar.
- Willingness to travel internationally, including regular trips to Paris during buying seasons.
- A collaborative communicator who thrives in a fast-paced luxury retail environment.
