Fella & Jones is partnered with a beautiful, design-led contemporary brand known for its meticulous craftsmanship and minimal aesthetics. They are now looking for a talented Designer to oversee their growing wovens collection, which includes tops, denim, and some outerwear. The brand is experiencing significant global success due to its beautiful product offering and unique design aesthetics; therefore, this is an exciting time to join.
The Role:
Reporting to the Design Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring trends and setting the creative vision for wovens.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the design process, from concept inception to finalisation, under the brand’s head.
- Extensively research creative ideas and provide design input into relevant collections.
- Create hand and technical drawings for pattern making and production use.
- Attend fittings and collaborate with other designers, associates, and pattern makers to ensure adherence to quality and brand standards.
- Work with textile designers on print creation and presentation.
Requirements of the Role:
- Previous experience within a contemporary brand covering wovens.
- Strong commercial understanding and familiarity with the brand\’s DNA.
- Positive and passionate about pushing boundaries.
- Willingness to travel to factories and conduct inspiration trips as required.
