Felix&Friends are seeking a Full Stack Web Developer in headless CMS. Must be located within Europe - not necessarily in the UK. This position requires a combination of programming skills (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Next.js, headless architecture) and aesthetics. The candidate should have a strong understanding of industry trends and content management systems. Experience with responsive and adaptive design is strongly preferred. The candidate should understand the entire web development process, including design, development and deployment.

We are looking for a developer who will join us in delivering sophisticated and smart cross-platform mobile-first solutions. We seek a unique thinker who values UX and approaches website development strategically. You will be working virtually alongside the Executive Creative Director, Project Manager, other designers and web developers.
Responsibilities- Implementing new features and functionality.
- Establishing and guiding the website’s architecture.
- Build and maintain multiple Strapi CMS websites.
- Headless CMS integration with Next.js.
- Break down requirements, estimate tasks, and assist in planning timelines accurately.
- Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS.
- Helping formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme.
- Liaise with designers to decide on UI/UX elements.
- Run functionality testing and debug code.
- Maintenance and monitoring the performance of the live websites.
- Meeting with clients with the team to discuss website functionality.
- Must be able to work remotely.
- 8+ years professional web development experience, including 3+ years with React and modern JavaScript frameworks. Next.js and headless CMS experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React API integration with Next.js frontend.
- Proficiency in working with headless CMS and knowledge of Strapi.
- Understanding of headless architecture and GraphQL knowledge.
- Knowledge of Linux server maintenance, creating staging environments, deploying websites to production.
- Server-side rendering and static site generation.
- Experience developing responsive design websites.
- Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications.
- Next.js image optimisation, code splitting and caching strategies.
- SEO implementation for Next.js.
- Comfortable working with debugging tools like Chrome inspector, etc.
- Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers.
- Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML).
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.
- Strong understanding of security practices.
- Database experience specified (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Proficiency working with Strapi CMS.
- WordPress experience and maintenance (limited scope of role).
- TypeScript proficiency.
