Felbridge Partners are working exclusively with a London-based private credit fund manager to appoint a Fund Controller at an exciting stage of the firm's growth. With a new fundraise on the horizon, the finance function sits at the heart of the business . The team works in close partnership with the investment team on deal execution, portfolio monitoring, and strategic decision-making.
This is also a firm actively investing in the technology and data infrastructure that will define how it operates over the next decade. This hire is central to that agenda.
This is not a traditional fund controller position. Yes, the successful candidate will own the financial integrity of the fund, but the greater part of their energy will be directed at two things: giving the investment team the financial insight they need to make better decisions and building the automated, scalable infrastructure that means the business doesn't simply grow headcount every time AUM grows.
Reporting directly to the COO and working alongside the investment team daily, this is a role with a genuine seat at the table.
Responsibilities

- Work closely with deal teams on new transactions, reviewing financial structures, stress-testing assumptions and identifying risks from a fund finance perspective

Automation & Technology
- Lead the fund's finance automation agenda, identifying manual processes and systematically eliminating them through better use of technology and data
- Own the relationship with the fund accounting platform and drive its deeper integration into daily workflows
- Build scalable reporting infrastructure, moving the business away from Excel-heavy processes toward automated, data-driven reporting
- Evaluate and implement new fintech tools where they add genuine operational value
- Work with the COO on a longer-term technology roadmap for the finance function
Fund Finance & Investor Reporting
- Oversee NAV calculations, waterfall mechanics, and LP reporting, with a focus on accuracy, timeliness and continuous process improvement
- Manage the annual audit and regulatory reporting (AIFMD Annex IV), working to make these processes leaner each cycle
- Support the investor relations function during fundraising, including LP due diligence on finance and operations
Treasury & Liquidity
- Monitor fund-level liquidity and manage the subscription credit facility
- Provide the investment team with forward-looking cash forecasting to support deployment planning
Requirements
- 3β6 years' post-qualification experience in fund finance within private credit or alternatives
- Technically strong across fund accounting, NAV, and waterfall structures
- A genuine interest in how technology can transform finance functions, you have either led automation projects or have a keen appetite to
- Comfortable working directly with investment professionals and translating financial data into commercial insight
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
- Hands-on experience with fund accounting platforms (Investran, eFront, Allvue, or similar) and a track record of driving better use of them
