HGV Technician

We are seeking a skilled HGV/PSV Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and be adept at maintaining and repairing heavy goods vehicles. This role is crucial in ensuring that our fleet operates efficiently and safely, providing excellent service to our customers., * Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on HGV/PSVs to ensure optimal performance.

• Diagnose faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment and tools.

• Perform welding, fabrication, and soldering tasks as required.

• Utilise power tools effectively for various repair and maintenance tasks.

• Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used.

• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs.

• Operate forklifts safely when moving equipment or parts around the workshop.

• Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in maintaining heavy goods vehicles.

• Proficiency in using power tools and diagnostic equipment.

• Ability to fabricate parts as needed for repairs.

• Experience in welding and soldering techniques.

• Basic electrical knowledge for troubleshooting electrical systems in HGVs.

• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with clients.

• Capability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• A valid forklift licence is preferred but not essential.
