We’re looking for a strong senior chef to lead and manage our Bakehouse section in Ascot — a unique role that sits somewhere between bakery, kitchen leadership, and guest experience. This isn’t just a production role. We need someone confident enough to take ownership of standards, manage quality day-to-day, and challenge products or processes when something isn’t right. A large part of the offering is supplied from our central bakery, so having a sharp eye for consistency, finish, and execution is essential. We’re also in the process of building and developing our own Bakehouse operation in Ascot, so this role would suit someone excited by the opportunity to help shape and grow something long term.
What we’re looking for:
- A senior chef or strong sous chef level candidate
- Experience managing a kitchen section and maintaining high standards
- Bakery or pastry experience would be a major advantage
- Someone organised, proactive, and confident leading a small team
- Comfortable giving feedback, improving systems, and driving quality
- Interested in product development and innovation
- Comfortable interacting with guests in a relaxed, professional way
This is a guest-facing environment, so while the role isn’t purely customer‑facing, guests will naturally engage with the Bakehouse team regularly. We’re looking for someone personable, confident, and passionate about great food and hospitality.
The role:
- Managing the day-to-day running of the Bakehouse section
- Maintaining product quality and consistency across the bakery display
- Executing and managing parts of the food menu, including pizzas and bagel sandwiches
- Balancing service alongside bakery presentation and standards throughout the day
- Working closely with our central bakery team
- Supporting development of new products and seasonal ideas
- Helping build and evolve the Ascot Bakehouse offering
- Leading by example with organisation, cleanliness, and standards
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who enjoys ownership, creativity, and being part of building something exciting from the ground up. If you’re passionate about bakery, quality, and hospitality — we’d love to hear from you.
