Overview

Location: Harrogate. Contract Type: Permanent, 20 hours. Rate of Pay: Up to £12.50 per hour, plus tronc (card tips paid into wages). Working as part of the Housekeeping team you will ensure all guest bedrooms within the hotel are cleaned on a daily basis to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

  • Clean guest bedrooms to the highest standards and maintain cleanliness and hygiene in various environments, ensuring spaces are welcoming for guests.
  • Operate cleaning equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand cleaning needs and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Report to the Team Leader on cleaning activities and any issues requiring attention.
  • Work independently with regular weekly or fortnightly clients and no visit less than 2 hours.
  • Be a vital cog in the operation, ensuring rooms are ready for guests’ arrival and continued stays.

Need flexibility: you will predominantly work set shifts, usually between 9am – 3pm, 5 days out of 7. Shift start times can be flexible between 9am – 10am. If desired, earlier start times can be discussed at interview as well as flexible contracts or just weekend work.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Previous experience as a kitchen assistant, kitchen porter, pot washer or kitchen cleaner in a busy pub, restaurant or hotel is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Conversational English is essential for Room Attendants due to guest interaction.
  • Valid driving licence is advantageous for travel between locations.
  • Positive attitude and desire to make a difference; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
