You will be required to perform a Purchase Ledger role in a fast-paced Manufacturing business based in the Stockport area. Working as part of a wider team you will manage the purchase ledger activities for the local site, process invoices and purchases.
The role designed for you:
- You will process vendor invoices/credit notes, matching them with a PO, if there is one, and attaching to delivery notes to ensure they are coded correctly on the system.
- You will be responsible for producing a weekly forecast of payments.
- You will be responsible for running weekly BACS runs, and adhoc payments.
- You will support the team with month-end tasks and activities.
- You will be responsible for gathering the accrual figures for the utility companies for the site.
- Intercompany reconciliations.
- Cover the Sales Ledger and Credit Control when required.
- Other adhoc duties as required for the role.
Who are we looking for:
- GCSEs in English and Mathematics at grade A-C (or equivalent).
- Preferably AAT level 2 (advantageous).
- 2 or more years in a Purchase Ledger role/environment.
- Exhibit high level of professionalism and tact in difficult situations.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient on Microsoft Office packages.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
- Fluent in the English language.
