We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Security team as a Security Specialist (Senior) based in Scotland.

Salary: £46,000 to £62,000 dependent on experience and if Senior or Specialist level offered.

What you will be doing:

  • Ensuring safety of FedEx employees and assets as well as FedEx customers’ properties through application of security awareness, loss prevention, contingency programs and investigations.
  • Assisting in determining, developing and enhancing current security policies and procedures to meet changing circumstances.
  • Using the most effective security systems and conducting security audits and appropriate investigations to minimise risk.
  • Working with customers on matters of security, ensuring customer confidence and trust in the FedEx business.
  • Conducting investigations into security matters, making recommendations on the course of action to be taken, and co-ordinating with local law enforcement agencies when appropriate.
  • Completing incident and outcome reports, identifying and developing corrective actions for areas of improvement.
  • Planning and implementing training programmes to promote employee security awareness, compliance and application of company policies.
  • Maintaining crisis management plans and responding to crisis and emergency situations, as required.

  • Security experience in a law enforcement or commercial/logistics environment.
  • Experienced in security risk assessments.
  • Proven investigation skills including interview skills.
  • Experience in intelligence/information handling.
  • Excellent research and evaluation skills.
  • Broad PC Skills (e.g., MS Office).
