This position is responsible for providing a safe work environment by performing facility maintenance and repairs, as well as overseeing and coordinating vendor repairs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain and repair the service center facility, shop, grounds, and dock area.
- Ensure compliance with all company standards and local fire and safety codes to pass inspections.
- Serve as the liaison and central contact for facility maintenance needs.
- Conduct weekly inspections of the facility, yard, and fencing to identify repairs or preventative maintenance needs, including drywall, painting, plumbing, electrical, lighting, potholes, HVAC, dock doors, fences, and gates.
- Drain drip drums and monitor the fire sprinkler system visually.
- Repair or replace dock doors, EOD/levelers, bumpers, and pallet jacks.
- Apply ice melt to sidewalks and stairs, and perform snow removal and landscaping as needed.
- Schedule and oversee work with vendors, review scope of work, and ensure timely completion.
- Coordinate with the Facility Maintenance team on repairs and address service or performance issues.
- Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic skills in electrical, carpentry, and plumbing.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Basic communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience with PC and maintenance software.
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to noise, vibration, dust, diesel fumes, hazardous materials, and weather conditions.
- Variable hours based on operational needs.
- Potential travel to other centers.
Pay Transparency and Compensation:
The listed pay range is $26.18 - $31.18 per hour, with actual pay determined by experience, performance, and other factors. Benefits include health, dental, vision insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and more.
