Job Description

Job Title: Veterinary Inspector

Location: Northern Ireland, UK

Deadline: 12:00 noon (UK time) on Friday 26th May 2023

The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) is seeking motivated and enthusiastic veterinarians to join our veterinary team of over 150 vets in the Veterinary Service Animal Health Group (VSAHG). Further appointments may be made from this competition for similar roles requiring the same eligibility criteria.

The main purpose of the Veterinary Inspector role includes implementing policies related to:

  • Epizootic diseases (e.g., highly pathogenic avian influenza)
  • Enzootic diseases (e.g., bovine tuberculosis)
