The Governors of The Shevington Federation are seeking to appoint an experienced, highly organised and caring Lead Cover Supervisor who shares our vision of ‘Rise Above. Go Beyond.’ The role will be based at Shevington Vale Primary School.

We are looking for someone who is positive, calm and resilient, with the confidence to lead others, build strong relationships and make a real difference to children.

The successful candidate will help ensure learning continues to the highest standard, coordinating daily cover and providing whole-class cover. You will also coordinate wellbeing activities and lunchtime provision for vulnerable pupils liaising with external provision where necessary.

We want someone who sets high expectations, takes pride in their work and goes the extra mile. You will use your initiative, respond positively to change and manage behaviour consistently, ensuring every pupil feels valued, included and supported.

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who builds relationships, sees potential and finds solutions. Someone who will work positively with children, colleagues, families and external agencies to help pupils overcome barriers and thrive.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience of working with children and supervising or leading others.
  • Be confident providing whole-class cover and supporting learning.
  • Be highly organised and able to coordinate and communicate effectively.
  • Have strong, positive behaviour management skills and high expectations for all pupils.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with children and adults.
  • Be calm, approachable, resilient and flexible.
  • Understand and respond to children's learning, development and wellbeing needs.
  • Demonstrate initiative, energy and a willingness to go beyond what is expected
  • Work effectively with colleagues, families and external agencies.
  • Be committed to their own learning and professional development.
  • Work consistently within our expectations for safeguarding, health and safety, confidentiality and inclusion.
