The Role:
Reporting to the Head of Real Estate Solutions, this is a high-profile role that will play a critical part in supporting the continued growth of Federated Hermes' Real Estate Asset Management platform. You will work closely with senior colleagues across investment, asset management and client-facing teams to strengthen our market presence, develop strategic client relationships and secure new business opportunities that contribute to the expansion of assets under management.
As a key ambassador for the Real Estate platform, you will be responsible for building and deepening relationships with existing and prospective institutional investors, originating new mandate opportunities and helping to develop and articulate compelling asset management solutions that address evolving client needs. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven professional who enjoys operating at the intersection of investment, client engagement and business development, while representing one of the industry's most respected and well-established real estate investment platforms.
A significant focus of the role will be on developing and maintaining relationships with existing and prospective asset-owning clients. Acting as a commercially focused representative for the Real Estate platform, the successful candidate will help position Federated Hermes as the partner of choice for clients seeking specialist real estate asset management expertise and long-term value creation.
The role will combine market engagement, opportunity origination and business development responsibilities. As a highly visible representative of the business, this represents an exciting opportunity to help shape and communicate Federated Hermes' Real Estate asset management proposition, ensuring the business is well positioned to secure mandates across a highly competitive market.
The Candidate:
We are looking for an accomplished relationship and business development manager with a strong understanding of real estate investment and asset management. They will be commercially astute, highly credible with institutional investors and confident engaging with senior stakeholders across the investment industry. They will possess an established network of institutional investor and real estate industry relationships, with the ability to identify opportunities, build trusted relationships, understand client objectives and translate Federated Hermes' investment capabilities into compelling, differentiated asset management solutions.
Beyond their professional credentials, they will be recognised as a trusted relationship builder with the integrity, professionalism and interpersonal skills required to represent Federated Hermes effectively in the market and contribute to the continued growth of the platform. They will demonstrate strong personal accountability, intellectual curiosity and a genuine passion for creating sustainable, long-term value through real estate investment.
Minimum requirements for the role:
- Significant experience within real estate investment, asset management, capital raising, investor relations, client solutions or business development.
- Strong knowledge of real estate investment strategies, value creation initiatives and institutional investor requirements.
- Proven ability to build, nurture and expand senior-level client relationships.
- Demonstrable track record of supporting business growth, fundraising or mandate acquisition.
- Experience contributing to client pitches, RFPs or mandate acquisition processes.
- Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills.
- Strong commercial judgement with the ability to identify and develop strategic opportunities.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams and disciplines.
- High level of professionalism, integrity and personal accountability.
