Main Function of the role:
The main function of the role is to provide leadership, investment execution capability and manage the risk, controls and processes within the investment function. The individual will also contribute to investment related aspects of product development, marketing as well as have team management responsibilities.
Key task and responsibilities:
- Senior level contribution across transaction origination & execution
- Design and implementation of high-quality deal execution processes with appropriate risk and controls framework
- Oversight across all portfolio level modelling/controls/valuation models
- Supporting other business activities as required e.g. Board role on a specific asset(s) and contributing to marketing and fund-raising campaigns
- Work closely with other Directors to maximise impact and contribution of Director group to nurture and develop the team (AD level below), whilst also supporting the Senior Leadership team effectively
- Develop new and existing industry relationships with potential vendors/partners/advisors/other key stakeholders to deliver value to the business
- Supporting the execution of key ad-hoc projects allocated by the Co-Heads of Infrastructure
- Line management responsibility for individuals in the team
- Support the coordination and production of relevant marketing materials related to fundraising activities
- Adhere to the FCA’s Conduct Rules, understanding that they set basic standards of good personal conduct
- Foster and maintain a culture reflecting FCA and other regulatory obligations (and Federated Hermes’ Code of Ethics) compliant with the FCA Conduct Rules
- Ensure all your obligations as a Certified person are performed
Minimum knowledge & experience required:
- An experienced commercial infrastructure professional. Has progressed their career as a principal within an infrastructure investor or has significant infrastructure experience through either advisory roles or working in industry
- Has strong deal origination and execution track record including leading transactions from inception to close
- Has deep knowledge of the infrastructure sector
- Is able to take a strategic and commercial view on opportunities
- Has experience working across renewables/energy generation/transition sectors
- Has demonstrable experience of engaging and managing a broad range of stakeholders within industry, advisors, consultants and (ideally) regulators
