Job Duties:
- Operate company vehicles to deliver and pick up packages efficiently and courteously.
- Check shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards.
- Provide coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area.
- Perform related customer service functions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED.
Minimum Experience: Six months courier experience preferred. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the service area.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and maneuver heavier packages with appropriate equipment or assistance.
- Good communication and human relations skills.
- Knowledge of the station's service area is preferred.
- Demonstrated adaptability, dependability, and effective courier methods.
Job Conditions:
- Neat appearance required due to customer contact.
- Must meet federal motor carrier safety regulations and pass a medical exam as per FMCSA or FAA regulations.
- Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license with a good driving record, in accordance with state requirements.
- This is a safety-sensitive position requiring alertness and safe work practices.
Preferred Qualifications: Relevant experience and knowledge of the service area are preferred.
Pay Transparency: This salary range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary across potential locations. Actual pay depends on experience, location, and other factors. Additional compensation, benefits, and bonuses may be available.
Pay: $23.26 per hour (range: $23.26 - $35.25)
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2:30 PM - 8:30 PM
