Overview
To work with the FSN LONDON staff, on an FSN client\'s news website, posting and updating stories, curating pages, and covering breaking news. This is an entry-level, fixed-term position for 12 months. There is the possibility of both extension of the length of this position, and further growth within FSN for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Sole responsibility for the news content for the website of one of FSN\'s main clients during a dedicated period of time each day.
- Monitor various platforms for updates and breaking news, and ensure the website is updated with news as it develops.
- Publish agency text articles, write extra details if needed, and add relevant photos and other content to compliment the story.
- Curate stories to various homepages, decide the order of stories, and adjust as news develops.
- Liaise with the client about stories to publish, and update them about work done.
- Alert the client to major breaking news.
- Liaise with FSN’s Global News Director about stories.
- Potential other tasks in the London office, including work with other FSN clients.
Additional Responsibilities
- Work with FSN LONDON bureau staff, communicating in a regular and informed manner with FSN’s Global News Director and with the client as needed.
- Maintain strong knowledge of global news events and geopolitical issues.
- Maintain all FSN equipment in a fully functional state.
- Adhere to established journalistic ethics, standards and practices as outlined in FSN’s editorial guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
