Overview
Site Supervisor
We are looking for a committed and proactive Site Supervisor to join our Estates team. This role is central to maintaining the smooth day-to-day operation of our built environment across the Eastern Education Group. You will play a key part in delivering high-quality estates services, ensuring our college sites remain safe, clean, secure, and welcoming for all students, staff and visitors.
Location: West Suffolk College, Bury St Edmunds. Hours: 37 per week, 52 weeks per year - Permanent. Rotating 3 week shift pattern: 06:00 - 14:00, 10:00 - 18:00, 14:00 - 22:00 and occasional weekend work. Salary: £26,703 - £29,058 per annum (Dependent on qualifications and experience).
Responsibilities
- Lead the Caretaking Team, managing daily priorities and ensuring tasks are completed to agreed standards.
- Oversee maintenance and compliance activities, coordinate works through the helpdesk system, and manage contractors.
- Support events and maintain building security, including out-of-hours cover.
- Apply hands-on maintenance with practical knowledge of trades and ensure health and safety standards across all sites.

- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills; willing to roll up your sleeves and lead by example.
- Good understanding of facilities operations and Health & Safety practices.
