Key responsibilities:

  • Greet students at pastoral reception-handling late arrivals, absentees, enquiries, lost property, and phone safekeeping.
  • Manage daily attendance systems (e.g. SIMS, Truancy Call), update registers, follow up unexplained absences via phone/email, and elevate persistent issues.
  • Monitor punctuality patterns, generate regular attendance reports for Heads of Year and SLT, and assist in attendance improvement strategies.
  • Log and track student behaviour incidents in pastoral systems, coordinate detention schedules, and notify parents as needed.

Pay range: SCP 6-12 – £13,900.16 – £15,295,58 – FTE: £25,989.00 – £28,598.00- 3 days per week, 22.5 hrs per week, 39 weeks a year, permanent role,

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above including English and Maths
  • Relevant administrative qualification and/or experience
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Ability to deal with a wide range of people using multiple forms of communication
  • Ability to use ICT and other specialist equipment and resources
