Responsibilities
- Teach a wide range of sessions to students working at Entry Level 3 to Level 2.
- Deliver personal development skills and understand SEND, neurodiversity, mental health needs and behavioural issues and how these impact on young people in learning environments.
- Support students with SEND or SEMH needs using appropriate teaching strategies.
- Show a trauma‑informed approach and demonstrate our college values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence.
- Commit to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
Qualifications
- Level 3 or higher (subject area less important than transferrable skills).
- Teaching qualification at Level 5.
- Maths & English at Level 2 or equivalent ability.
- Demonstrable experience in SEND teaching.
- Ability to demonstrate a trauma‑informed approach.
- A commitment to safeguarding and welfare of vulnerable learners.
