Overview

Are you passionate about supporting the next generation of Early Years professionals? We are seeking a dedicated Early Years Assessor to join our team. You will play a key role in assessing learners in placement settings, supporting their progress, and ensuring high standards across our Early Years programmes.

Summary of the Role

You will be responsible for assessing Early Years students in their placement settings, documenting evidence, and supporting learners to achieve their qualifications. The role involves close collaboration with teaching teams, employers, and awarding bodies to ensure quality and compliance.

Salary & Working Pattern

  • Actual Salary: £11,353.10 – £12,378.59 per annum
  • Working Pattern: Monday and Tuesday (8:30am – 5:00pm) 15 hours per week
  • Fixed Term up to 12 months

Essential Criteria

  • Holds assessor qualifications
  • Experience assessing or training in the Early Years or education sector
  • Industry experience within Early Years or education
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Thorough knowledge of the education and early years sector

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess Early Years students in placement settings and upload evidence to the appropriate platforms
  • Support student guidance, recruitment, and initial assessment onto programmes
  • Collaborate with teaching teams and curriculum leaders to monitor quality and contribute to self-assessment processes
  • Ensure health, safety, and wellbeing arrangements for students in placement, including employer risk assessments
  • Share good practice and support the delivery of work-based learning programmes
