Technician, Hairdressing and Beauty
Lewisham College is one of the biggest colleges in London and now is a very exciting time to join us. We are now recruiting for an experienced Technician to join our Hairdressing & Beauty department.
In this role you will assist the supervision of students\' learning activities within a studio / workshop environment. You will have the ability to demonstrate to students the safe use of equipment and machinery and also techniques and practical skills.
You will prepare materials and equipment to meet learner and industry requirements and will be responsible for monitoring stock levels and the care and maintenance of the studios and their machinery.
We are looking for candidates with experience of using, setting up and demonstrating various equipment and techniques. You will support the exhibition and promotion of learner work in both internal and external exhibitions and events. An awareness of relevant Health & Safety regulations coupled with good communication and ICT skills are important aspects of this role.
